Hi, my name is Lexi!  I am the manager of CrossFit Orrville.  Pictured here is my husband, Aaron, and our dog, Riggins.  You will see us a lot in the gym.  Well, you’ll probably see us more than you’ll see Rigs, but every once in a while, Rigs makes an appearance.  He’s a fan favorite.

OK, enough about us.  I’d like to introduce you to our outstanding coaching staff!

I have been a Certified L1 CrossFit Trainer since 2014.  I am a powerlifter’s daughter who grew up in the gym learning safe mechanics of the squat, bench and deadlift.  Along with a powerlifting background, I have experience in power tumbling and Olympic lifting.  I graduated from Orrville High School and went to the University of Toledo, where I hold the University’s school record in the Pole Vault.  While at Toledo, I obtained two undergraduate degrees; one in Professional Sales and one in Supply Chain Management.  I continued my education at UT and graduated with my Master’s degree in Leadership in 2017. 

 

My enthusiasm lies in helping others and is motivated by others achieving their goals.  I have the ability to evaluate skill level and help elite athletes and beginners, alike, reach a sense of accomplishment. 

 

If I was offering advice, I would say, “Never underestimate the power of you.  You are capable.  You are strong.  You are confident.  You can do this!”

I am a Certified L1 CrossFit Trainer, a registered nurse and an entrepreneur. 

 

I teach CrossFit because I have found that it is a fitness plan that helps rebuild and sustain your body, and it also builds your mental capacities and toughness too! Challenging workouts that are constantly varied give opportunity for success and mastery--at least for the day--which helps increase levels of confidence and strength.

I strongly believe that people of all ages should make fitness a key part of their lives. I was an All-American football player at the University of Mount Union, where I set the school record for quarterback sacks in a season and tackles for loss in a game. I was inducted into the Mount Union Athletic Hall of Fame and the Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame.

 

I am an avid lifetime drug free powerlifter as well as a Certified L1 CrossFit Trainer.  I was the National Champion at the US Masters Powerlifting Championships in 2013 and placed 4th at the World Masters Powerlifting Championships that same year. I hold the USAPL Ohio Masters division (age 40-44) record in the squat at 705 pounds and the USAPL Ohio Masters division (age 45-49) record in the deadlift at 639 pounds.

 

I am passionate about helping young kids improve their athletic performance. In my spare time, I enjoy helping high school and college athletes with strength and performance training.

I am originally from West Salem, OH and graduated from Northwestern High School in 2013.  While in high school, I competed in football, wrestling, and track and field. After high school, I went to Hocking College for Fitness Management and discovered powerlifting.  I loved the idea of lifting heavy and in 2014, I found CrossFit at a gym called TrueFit Athletics, in Lancaster, OH.  After graduating college, I interned and then worked full time for a couple years at TrueFit Athletics.  In addition to my degree in Fitness Management, I am a CF-L1 trainer, an American Council of Exercise Group Fitness Instructor, and a Certified Personal Trainer.

I love the strength and conditioning aspects of CrossFit.  I am very passionate about helping people reach their fitness goals - no matter how big or how small. I believe every athlete is coachable, as long as they’re willing to listen and work hard to improve!

I joined CrossFit Orrville in 2014 and earned my CF-L1 and began coaching at CrossFit Orrville in 2015.  A lifelong health enthusiast,  I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and I am passionate about helping others lead healthy, active lives.  To me, coaching others and watching them achieve beyond their goals is priceless.  

 

CrossFit has become a very important part of my life. I believe everyone can improve their lives through good nutrition and functional fitness - two fundamentals in CrossFit! 

 

I am married to Jim, who you'll often find at CrossFit Orrville, tackling the WODs with me.  We have four children who are all CrossFitters, as well as two grandchildren. 

 

I enjoy continually improving my fitness level and staying active with my family, especially my grandkids!

I am an Indiana native and a Wooster resident. I lived in Indiana until 2015, when I  married my wife, Nichole (Tobias) Dalenberg, after meeting in college.  Professionally, I work in the Human Resources department at the Jarrett Companies.

 

Throughout high school and college, I played golf, ran cross country and played tennis.  It wasn't until 2015, that I entered the weightlifting world for the first time in my life, when I decided to try CrossFit. 

 

I participated in CrossFit on and off for a year until fully committing in early 2016.  Since participating in CrossFit regularly, I have seen great success; both in my health and in my technique. After participating in CrossFit and seeing the benefit in my own life, I had the desire to see the same changes in other people’s lives.

 

I became a Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2017. Since then, I have been a coach here at CrossFit Orrville, mostly frequenting the noon class. You’ll often catch me joking around with our members - CrossFit is fun!
